Who is Spiler Psychotherapy?

Who is Spiler Psychotherapy?

In our imagery, a captivating scene unfolds: towering boulders grace the water's edge, their unwavering presence mirroring the profound strength of a solid foundation. Beyond, majestic mountains reach for the skies, embodying the challenges that life presents. This tableau encapsulates our essence as a mental health boutique clinic, where we excel not in mere numbers, but in the depth of care we provide. Just as these boulders rise above the waters, we offer unwavering support for mental well-being. Our focus rests not on growing in volume, but on cultivating a reservoir of knowledge and insight. We stand as a bastion of treatment, a sanctuary where strength and support converge to uplift those in need.

Spiler Psychotherapy™ | M Spiler Social Work Professional Corporation is an online private social work psychotherapy practice that operates with its head office in Burlington, Ontario. The main purpose of the practice is to help clients develop effective mental health patterns that contribute to their overall wellbeing, personal growth, and fulfillment in both their personal and professional lives.

We firmly believe in the ability of individuals to change and reach their full potential. We focus on creating the necessary conditions for clients to achieve their desired results, emphasizing an empowering attitude of choice, learning, flexibility, growth, and possibilities. Our aim is to move clients away from negative orientations of problems, limitations, and faults.

Spiler Psychotherapy™ offers psychotherapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families, helping them manage their mental challenges and improve their mental wellness. Their approach revolves around increasing self-knowledge and self-awareness, enhancing relational skills in areas such as communication and relationships, cognitive abilities, emotional aptitude, compassion, and gratitude.

Trauma  Treatment: A safe and nurturing environment where a trauma survivor engages in therapy with a caring professional. The survivor is given the space to express their feelings and experiences, while the mental health therapist provides empathy and validation. Trauma counselling offers specialized support to help individuals process and heal from distressing events, reduce the impact of trauma-related symptoms, and work towards reclaiming a sense of empowerment and resilience in their lives.

PTSD Counselling: A person engaging in PTSD counselling with a qualified therapist. The therapist listens attentively, providing a safe space for the individual to process their trauma experiences and emotions. PTSD counselling aims to address and manage the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder, offering coping strategies, emotional support, and evidence-based interventions to promote healing, resilience, and a better quality of life for the individual seeking help.

Our mental health practice has a particular focus on working with individuals who have Borderline Personality Disorder and other personality disorders from mild to severe diagnosis. We provide various treatment approaches for individuals, couples, and families in this context. Additionally, we also offer an Online BPD Family Support Group as an ongoing 5-part series.

Couples counseling is suitable for all types of partnerships, including married couples, engaged couples, long-term partners, LGBTQ+ couples, and dating couples. It can be a transformative and empowering experience, offering couples the opportunity to grow and thrive together.

If you and your partner are experiencing challenges in your relationship or simply want to strengthen your bond, couples counseling may be a valuable step towards achieving a happier and healthier partnership.

The overall goals of Spiler Psychotherapy™ include role-modeling and inspiring clients to be reflective, proactive, creative, and productive. We aim to help clients develop the courage to face challenges and uncertainties and live with presence, creating purpose and meaning in their lives.
